Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Tangier
We meet at the airport and go to our Hotel.
Day 2: Tanger – Chefchaouen.
After breakfast we are going to see a bit of tangier like hercules caves which are located about 5 km from cape Spartel and 14 km west of the city of Tangier (Morocco). It is one of the most popular tourist attractions around this city. And cap spartel, And then travel to the small blue fortress city called xauen Its buildings and houses are painted blue and white and it is one of the most beautiful cities in the Rif mountains. You will have free time to explore Chefchaouen on your own. We spend this night in a local Riad in the Medina.
Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
After breakfast, we will continue our way to the archaeological site of Volubilis where you can explore the famous Roman ruins. Then we go to Meknes to visit the imperial city and its most interesting monuments. Later in the afternoon we will arrive in Fes, where we will spend the night in a local Riad.
Day 4: Fez (World Heritage).
This day will be very cultural. We will tour the city with a guided tour of the oldest of the imperial cities. It is the first political, religious and cultural capital. We will begin the visit through the Golden Gates of the Royal Palace. Then, we will visit the wall that encloses an impressive and ancient medina, which we will walk through in which you will feel spiritual beauty. There we will discover mosques and medersas, karabansarais and religious places until we end up in the town of the tanners. At lunch we will explore the neighborhood of artisans. We will stay in the riad.
Day 5: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Monkey Forest – Erfoud – Desert.
We will leave Fes towards the Medi Atlas to visit Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Africa. There we will meet the Berber town Azrou "the rock", then we will arrive at Midelt. We will continue on our way through the Tizi Talghemt or Cuello del Camello, where we will see beautiful landscapes with mountains at an altitude of 1,907 meters. This is how we will arrive at Errachidia to experience the crossing of the Tafilalet massif to the palm grove of Erfoud. We will continue by road until we reach the incredible fine sand dunes of Erg Chebbi next to Merzouga. Tonight we stay in a kasbah.
Day 6: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga
After breakfast, we will travel one of the routes used in the "Paris-Dakar Rally" visiting desert nomads who will treat us to a ricotté. There we will see the oasis where some movies such as "Sahara" and "Aladdin" among others were recorded. We will visit the town of "the blacks", named after the slave trade that they brought from the Sudan. After lunch we will ride the desert car, the camels. They will take us into the desert to be able to contemplate a magnificent sunset. This night will be unique, since we will stay in tents, like the Berbers, where we can enjoy music and a starry sky that will dazzle you.
Day 7: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, departure to Risani, old Sijilmassa, supply center for the old caravans of the Sahara. We continue our journey through a semi-desert landscape, we arrive at the Tinghir oasis - possibly one of the most beautiful places in Morocco. Next we pass the Todra river, impressive gorges to reach more than 300 m. We visit the town, we take the road of a thousand kasbahs to Ouarzazate, to reach one of the most important cities in southern Morocco, known for its intense activity and cinematography, having credit for its films such as Gladiator, Troy, the Mummy, etc. Visit of the kasbah of Taurirt. We will enjoy dinner and spend the night at the hotel.
Day 8: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Telouet – Marrakech
After breakfast, we take the road in the direction of Ait Ben Haddou, the queen of kasbahs (Unesco World Heritage). Later we will visit one of the most beautiful slopes in Morocco, Kasbah de Telouet, former Glagui palace, Pacha Marrakech. We continue passing through the highest mountain pass in Morocco – Tzin Tichca (2,260 m) to reach the imperial city of Marrakech. We stayed one night in the Riad.
Day 9: The Guided Tour of Marrakech
After breakfast we spend a full day excursion to visit Marrakech. The stories tell that the city was inhabited by a tribe on the other side of the Atlas, with large quantities of dates, and the bones, born from a palm. Called "the red city" due to the color of its walls and full of gardens, irrigated by underground wells (khettaras), which were built by the Almoravids and Saharan nomads in the 11th century. We will visit Menara, the Casbah, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia, the Majorelle Gardens and souks, are some of the unavoidable visits. A unique experience will be to discover the "Djemaa El Fna" square, where the life and activity of the city is concentrated: dancers, storytellers, jugglers, artisans, merchants and snake charmers. We stay in Marrakech overnight in local Riads.
Day 10: Marrakech – Essaouira.
Seguimos bordeando el Atlántico, disfrutando de un hermoso paisaje costero de la ciudad de Essaouira.Alojamiento en el hotel y tiempo libre para explorar la ciudad: Herencia, mantiene el encanto y la autenticidad de una tierra perdida en el tiempo. Day 11: Essaouira – Casablanca.
We leave the city of Essaouira towards the largest city in Morocco, we arrive in Casablanca and go to visit the "Hassan II" mosque, the largest in Africa, we sleep in a Hotel.
Day 12: Casablanca – Rabat – Asilah.
After breakfast, we will go to Rabat, to see the Mausoleum of "Mohammed V" and the "Hassan Tower". And from Rabat transfer to Asilah, a beautiful and quiet city on the coast just 30 kilometers from Tangier. We will be able to perceive this place from different viewpoints to appreciate its white houses with murals on them, then we will have free time to walk around. We will spend the night in Asilah.
Day 13: Asilah – airport or port of tangier.
Travel back to tangier to connect with your flights with the best memories and memories of Morocco for the next one.
